Creating a SQL user for the E-WMS ASP website

This document describes how to create a SQL user specifically
for the SQL login used on the WMS ASP web server. 
  
     - 
     
SQL-server: Start the Microsoft SQL-Server
     Management Studio, connect to the
     SQL-server (if not already connected), and expand the Security/Logins tree. 
      
     - 
     
Right-click on 'logins', choose "New login" 
      
     - 
     
Type a login name, for example 'wms' 
      
     - 
     
Choose the option 'SQL Server authentication' 
      
     - 
     
Disable the option 'Enforce password policy' 
      
     - 
     
Type a password twice  
     Please note that you can
     encrypt the password for this SQL user, in file connections.config. 
     In this screen, you enter the unencrypted password 
Note: You cannot use <, &, and " in your password. 
      
     - 
     
Choose option 'Server roles' in the left panel  
      
     - 
     
You can grant the required access right by making the user member of the
     Sysadmin role, or by making member of
     the db_owner (database owner) group for
     the specific database: 
      
       
      
       
      
      
      
     - 
     
Use this SQL user name and password in the file connections.config, in the
     connection set-up.
