Depreciation methods are ways to calculate the amounts of depreciation for assets in your organization over a certain time frame. Depreciation method is used the moment an asset is registered upon purchase, lease, rental, maintenance, hire purchase, leasehold, or produced. Depreciation methods can be maintained at Assets/Assets/Depreciation methods.
You can filter the depreciation method that you want to display. To search for the depreciation method, you can define the following criteria and click Search. The depreciation methods that match the search criteria you have entered are then displayed.
Note: It is possible that not all the columns in this example are displayed. You can add or delete columns as required. For detailed instructions on how to customize displayed columns, see Related documents: Inserting and deleting columns.
Click Search to search for depreciation methods based on the specified criteria.
Click Clear to clear the specified criteria.
Type the number of rows to be displayed for each page. If you have set the default number of rows as 3, then 3 rows will be displayed. Therefore, if you have more than 10 rows listed, you will see the Previous and Next buttons.
Click Previous to return to the previous screen.
Click Next to go to the next screen.
Select the required option to filter the search that starts with or contains a certain letter or word.
Type a full or partial code to search for the depreciation method. The depreciation method is based on the Depreciation method defined at the depreciation methods maintenance via Assets/Assets/Depreciation methods by clicking New.
Type a full or partial description to search for the depreciation methods. The description is based on the Description defined at the depreciation methods maintenance via Assets/Assets/Depreciation methods, by clicking New or Open.
Click Delete to delete the selected depreciation method.
Note: This button is enabled only if a depreciation method is selected.
Click Open to view or modify the selected depreciation method.
Click New to create a new depreciation method.
Click Close to exit.
