Manufacturing ➔ Planning ➔ Production requirements
This screen displays the production requirements for a particular production order. The details in this screen help you to find out the difference between the required materials and materials currently in stock for the selected production order. This information can be very useful as it helps you to produce or purchase materials as per the requirements. The results of the requirements do not include machine hours, labor hours, and phantom items.
The information in this document is based on product update 407 and higher. If you have versions lower than this, certain features explained here will not be applicable.
This field displays the production order number.
This field displays the main warehouse where the production order is linked to.
This field displays the quantity of the item to be produced through the production order.
This field displays the date the production order must be completed.
In Exact Globe Next, you can customize the columns that you want to display for the production requirements by clicking Columns at the toolbar of the Production requirements screen. If you want certain columns to be available, select the relevant check boxes. For example, select the Main version check box to display the Main version column in the Production requirements screen.
This column displays the item code of the item to be produced. The item code is based on the code defined at the Item code field at the item maintenance (go to Manufacturing ➔ Setup ➔ Items, select the relevant item, and click Open), under the Basics tab.
This column displays the description of the item to be produced. The description is based on the description defined at the Description field at the item maintenance (go to Manufacturing à Setup à Items, select the relevant item, and click Open), under the Basics tab.
This column displays the BOM version of the item to be produced. The BOM version is based on the version defined at the Version field at the BOM maintenance (go to Manufacturing ➔ Setup ➔ BOM, select the relevant item, and click Open). You can also obtain the version at the item maintenance under the Manufacturing tab.
A green check mark is shown in this column if the version of the item is the first BOM version of the item to be produced. The main version is based on the main version defined at the Main version field at the BOM maintenance (go to Manufacturing ➔ Setup ➔ BOM, select the relevant item, and click Open). You can also obtain the main version at the item maintenance under the Manufacturing tab.
This column displays the part item code of the item required for the production order.
This column lists the description of each part item required for the production order. The description is based on the description defined at the Description field at the item maintenance (go to Manufacturing ➔ Setup ➔ Items, select the relevant item, and click Open), under the Basics tab.
A green check mark is shown in this column if the part item has the Make attribute. This is based on the attributes defined at the item maintenance (go to Manufacturing ➔ Setup ➔ Items, select the relevant item, and click Open), under the Manufacturing tab.
A green check mark is shown in this column if the part item has the Buy attribute. This is based on the attributes defined at the item maintenance (go to Manufacturing ➔ Setup ➔ Items, select the relevant item, and click Open), under the Manufacturing tab.
This column displays the main warehouse of each part item. This warehouse is based on the warehouse defined at the item maintenance (go to Manufacturing ➔ Setup ➔ Items, select the relevant item, and click Open), under the Inventory tab.
This column lists the quantity required of each part item involved in the production order. This quantity is based on BOM entered for the production order at Manufacturing ➔ Entries ➔ Production orders.
This column lists the quantity of each required part item currently in stock. This quantity can be obtained at the item maintenance (go to Manufacturing ➔ Setup ➔ Items, select the relevant item, and click Open), under the Inventory tab. However, the free stock for an item will also include the allocated stock quantity (if any) for the production order.
Note: The free stock quantity may not be consistent with the stock details displayed in the item maintenance screen, if there is any allocated stock quantity for the production order.
The quantity of each part item required and currently in stock is calculated and if there is a shortage, the difference is displayed in this column.
This column lists the unit of the part items. This unit is based on the value defined at the Sls. unit field at the item maintenance (go to Manufacturing ➔ Setup ➔ Items, select the relevant item, and click Open), under the Basics tab.
Click this to export the information to a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet.
Click this to enter a purchase order for the required materials. For more information, see Creating and maintaining purchase orders.
Click this to enter a production order for the required materials. For more information, see Creating and maintaining production orders.
Click this to exit.
