Excel Add-in: explanation function PROJ_FIN_DATA

Introduction

With the PROJ_FIN_DATA function, you can include the financial information of projects in Microsoft Excel worksheet.

Menu path

Launch Microsoft Excel, and then click Exact Globe: Function at the menu.

Fields

Company

Select the administration from which you want to retrieve the Exact Globe data. If you select Default, the data will be taken from the default company. For more information, see Excel Add-In: Open/Select a company. If you select a company, the data from the selected company will be displayed. The advantage of not selecting a company is that the same report can be used for each company. You only need to change the default company to get the right data.

Function

Select PROJ_FIN_DATA.

Project code

Select the project you want to use.

Resource

If you want to retrieve information for a specific resource, select the resource here. You can also leave this field empty.

Item group

If you want to retrieve information for a specific item group, select the item group here. You can also leave this field empty.

Item code

If you want to retrieve information for a specific item, select the item here. You can also leave this field empty.

Machine

If you want to retrieve information for a specific asset, select the asset here. You can also leave this field empty.

Account

If you want to retrieve project amounts on a specific general ledger account, select the general ledger account. You can also leave this field empty.

Type

Select the type of information you want to retrieve. You have the following options :

Costs
Revenue
WIP (other)
WIP production
WIP revenue
WIP costs

Value

Select the value you want to retrieve. You have the following options :

Actual amount
Budget amount
Actual quantity
Budget quantity

Transaction type

Select the type of transactions you want to retrieve for a project:

Labor hour
Machine hour
Item
Direct

Budget scenario

Select a budget scenario, if desired.

Unprocessed

If you check this option, unprocessed entries will also be included. If you do not check this option, only processed entries will be included.

From date - to date

Enter a date range for which you want to retrieve information.

In the worksheet, the function displays the costs of the actual amount of the labor hours for budget scenario "GR2001", including unprocessed entries from 1 January 2002 through 19 April 2002 for the project code "ONTWPR2003" for resource no. 3 for assortment no. 9 with item code AC1530, machine 2002001 on general ledger account 3950 in the default company.
