InterConnect for Macola: Quote Promotion

Use a button on the Quote page to create a request to promote (or convert) the quote to an order. To do this, these prerequisites must be complete:

• There must be a CRM request type defined for promoting a quote.
• The Quote Promotion section on the OE Settings page must be complete.

How to Create a Request to Promote a Quote

1. Navigate to the main InterConnect page (Menu: InterConnect).
2. Click Reports.
3. Under the Macola ES heading, click Orders/Sales Reports.

   

4. On the Orders/Sales tab, under the Current Activity heading, click Open Quotes.

   

   This opens the Sales Quotes page, showing all open quotes.

5. Use the fields at the top of the page and the sort buttons on the columns to sort the quotes to find the one you want to request be promoted.

   

6. Click the quote number in the Order No column to open the Quote page.

   

7. At the top of the page, click the button to create a request to promote the quote:

   

   Note: The button shown in the image is an example. The label for this button is defined on the OE Settings page.

   Depending on how InterConnect set up, the system can open a new request to add information to the request, or the system can create a new request automatically without any additional user information.

8. If InterConnect is set up to open a new request, complete and submit the request. The request goes to the workflow of the person set up to approve the request. (This person is selected when the Workflow: Request type is created.) Someone who is a user in the Macola ES back office must convert the quote to an order using Order Entry.
