No need to switch between Outlook and Synergy to keep track of your e-mail and workflow!
The Synergy Office Integration makes it possible to perform all standard Synergy tasks and activities from within Outlook. This allows users to look at their workflow within Outlook, in order to create documents, requests, projects and accounts and perform all other Synergy activities.
The Synergy toolbar is present in Outlook. It contains all menu items the user has configured in Synergy. Changes made in their preference settings in Synergy, are automatically updated in Outlook. Content of both toolbars therefore always remains identical.
All Synergy content is shown in the content pane in Outlook. Workflow, account cards, documents, opportunities, can all be ‘hosted’ in Outlook to prevent the user from having to switch between both applications.
When an e-mail is saved in Synergy, the available e-mail addresses are matched with contacts in Synergy and the mails are automatically attached to the corresponding contacts.

In Word, Excel and PowerPoint, a Synergy toolbar is added to the ‘home ribbon’ containing the most basic functions to quickly access Synergy straight from Office. There is also an additional tab page available in the 3 Office applications providing additional functionality like for example the ‘mail merge’ and the ‘import accounts wizard’.
The actions to be taken when performing a ‘mail-merge’ are logically shown in the toolbar so these can be performed step by step. Drag and drop functionality makes it quick and easy to define which data needs to be used in the Word document.
Whenever an Office document has been created, this document can directly be saved in Synergy using ‘user defined defaults’. The document can then easily be linked to an account, a project or for example an employee. Also tags can be defined for the document, which makes it easier to categorize and find documents in Synergy.
In Excel it is now possible to import or export accounts from or to Synergy with 1 click.
When saving e-mails or documents from Word, Excel or PowerPoint into Synergy, the user gets the opportunity to link data from Synergy on top of the mandatory attributes that have been specified for this particular document type.
Very useful is the possibility to generate a request immediately after uploading a document. This way, when saving an e-mail in Outlook, this can automatically create a task asking for follow up on that e-mail. This can speed up work significantly since Synergy does not have to be opened separately to create a request and attach the right document.
Installation, de-installation, updates and maintenance are easy and fast in the new Office Integration. The use of MSI files makes the Office Integration easier to manage over multiple users.
