How to install Crystal Reports 8.5

Introduction

In Exact Globe 2003 Enterprise you can create and maintain your own reports with the use of Crystal Reports. This document describes how to install Crystal Report version 8.5.

Explanation

If you have E-Report in your license you should have received the cd of Crystal Reports. After inserting the cd in the cd-rom, a window will appear (automatic start)*:

Click on the "Install Crystal Reports" button. The system will prepare the installation and after a few seconds the following window will appear:

Click on the "Next" button, the following window will appear:

You can only continue installing Crystal Reports if you accept the License Agreement. When you select this option, the "next" button will become active. Click on the "next" button, the following window will appear:

Choose for the "Typical" installation and browse to the directory where you want the software to be installed and finish by pressing the "next" button. The following screen will appear:

By pressing the 'next' button you will start the actual installation. During the installation you can monitor the progress via the window that appears after pressing the 'next' button:

When the installation is completed, the following screen will appear:

After pressing the 'Finish' button, you can start using the module E-Report and start maintaining/creating your reports via Exact Globe 2003 Enterprise, menu path: [System / General / Generate all Exact reports].

* If there does not appear a window after inserting the cd in your cd-rom, you can start the installation manually by browsing to your cd-drive and double click on the start.exe file.
