InterConnect for Macola Configuration: Defining HRM Roles
During InterConnect configuration, you should define the InterConnect roles for Synergy users. You can use existing roles, but it is recommended that you define new roles and assign them as needed to Synergy users.
- To Create Roles in Exact Synergy Enterprise, navigate to: HRM > Setup > Roles.

- Click New to create a new role.


The following table defines the use of each role you need to create.
Role |
Description |
Quoting |
This role allows users to enter quotes. |
Commission |
This role allows users to view and edit commissions on quotes and orders. |
Sales Funnel Management |
This role allows users to manage the sales funnel. (The functionality to use this role will be available in a later release.) |
Order Processing |
This role allows users to direct workflow to the correct personnel to convert quotes to orders in the back-office. |
Purchase Agent |
This role allows users to manage purchase order workflow. Only users with this specific role will access the purchase agent for purchase order processing. |
In addition to creating roles and assigning the quoting role, users need to have two roles assigned to them:
- Professional (at least at Division level)
- Enable Add-on Solutions (at least at Division level)
InterConnect for Macola Introduction and Document Index (Progression back office)
InterConnect for Macola Introduction and Document Index (Macola ES back office)
