How-to: Installing Exact Incoming Invoice Register in Exact Lightweight Integration Server (ELIS)

Introduction

Note: The Exact Incoming Invoice Register solution is currently available only to the controlled release participants for the solution.

Before the Incoming Invoice Register (IIR) entries and IIR requests can be automatically synchronised between Exact Globe+ and Exact Synergy Enterprise, the Exact Incoming Invoice Register solution must be first installed and configured in Exact Lightweight Integration Server (ELIS). This document provides you the steps for the installation and configuration.

Requirements

The following are the requirements that need to be fulfilled before the solution can be installed:

• Exact Globe+ must be installed,
• Exact Synergy Enterprise must be installed,
• the SE5311 Incoming Invoice Register module must be available,
• the SE5482 Incoming Invoice Register Poll module must be available,
• ELIS must be installed in your system. For more information, see How-to: Installing Exact Lightweight Integration Server (ELIS), and
• Exact Globe+ and Exact Synergy Enterprise product packages are installed in ELIS. For more information, see How-to: Setting up client endpoints for Exact Lightweight Integration Server (ELIS).

Points of attention

IIR requests should not be deleted in Exact Synergy Enterprise. If an incorrect request is created, the request should be rejected instead of deleted. Deleting requests can lead to error messages in the ELIS log.

Installing Exact Incoming Invoice

1. Go to Start > All Programs > Exact > Exact Lightweight Integration Server Management Console to open the ELIS management console.
2. In the ELIS management console, select Console, and then select Check for updates.
3. In the Check for updates section, click the Exact Incoming Invoice Register solution as displayed in the following example:



4. Click Install in the Action column to install the preferred version. For example, if you are using Exact Synergy Enterprise product update 503, click Install next to the version number. Once the installation is completed, Updated will be displayed in the Status column and the solution installed will be displayed in the left panel.

Configuring Exact Incoming Invoice Register solution

1. Go to Start > All Programs > Exact > Exact Lightweight Integration Server Management Console to open the ELIS management console.
2. In the ELIS management console, click the Exact Incoming Invoice Register solution.
3. Click Add on the right panel. The New configuration: Exact Incoming Invoice Register screen will be displayed, as displayed in the following:



4. Select Exact Synergy Enterprise and Exact Globe+.
5. Click Next. The following screen will be displayed:




6. At Name and Description, type the name and description of the solution respectively.
7. At Schedule: repeat task every, select the duration of the process schedule. If it is time for the next schedule to run, but the process of the previous schedule is still running, the ELIS scheduler will skip this schedule to finish the process of the previous schedule. The process for the new schedule will be postponed based on this field. For example, if you select 15 minutes, the new process will start 15 minutes after the previous schedule has completed.
8. At Time, select the time you want to run the IIR process.
9. Select the Activate now check box.
10. Click Save. A message will be displayed to confirm the configuration.
11. Click Yes to continue.
12. The Successful status will be displayed once the solution has been activated.

Note: The solution may not be activated properly if the Activate now check box is not selected in step 9. For more information, see How-to: Activating and deactivating solutions for Exact Lightweight Integration Server (ELIS).

Monitoring synchronisation processes

The synchronisation of the IIR entries and requests can be monitored in ELIS at the management console. By clicking Integration status under Monitoring, the log of the processes can be viewed for analysis and tracking purposes. IIR process checking

The IIR process checking involves the following:

• Searching for the new IIR entries created in Exact Globe+ that have not been synchronised to Exact Synergy Enterprise.
• Searching for the deleted IIR entries in Exact Globe+.
• Searching for the IIR entries in Exact Globe+ and checking if the entries have been approved in Exact Synergy Enterprise.
• Searching for the processed IIR entries in Exact Globe+.
• Searching for the IIR entries that have performed a final VAT return.
