InterConnect for Macola: Pivot Analysis Report for Orders

The Pivot Analysis Report can be used for simple yet powerful analytics to provide clear insight into data in Exact Synergy Enterprise and your back office. Analysis is an important part of the sales process; InterConnect provides several tools that allow you to mine your sales history for useful information. The most powerful of these tools is Order Pivot Analysis Report.

Use the following for field options and values. When generating a Pivot Analysis Report for Orders, you do not need to enter a value in every field. These fields help narrow down the amount of data shown on the report.

Division: Select a division for the report. These are back office companies set up in InterConnect.

View: You can choose one of two options: History or Open. Choose History for historical orders. Choose Open for live (or active) orders. (These are orders that have not been posted yet.)

Type: Select the check boxes for the types of orders to include: Quote, Order, Invoice, and Credit Memo. You can select any combination.

Status: Select the check boxes for the statuses to include: Open, Credit Hold, Invoiced, and Posted.

Account: Enter a customer number or leave this field blank to include all customers.

Account Manager: Enter a salesperson or leave this field blank to include all sales people.

Item: Enter an item number or leave this field blank to include all items.

Date: Ordered: This refers to the date the customer placed an order. You can enter the same date in both fields; different dates in both fields for a range; or leave the fields blank for all dates.

Date: Entered: This refers to the date the order was entered in the system. You can enter the same date in both fields; different dates in both fields for a range; or leave the fields blank for all dates.

Date: Invoiced: This refers to the date the invoice was printed for the order. You can enter the same date in both fields; different dates in both fields for a range; or leave the fields blank for all dates.

Date: Posted: This refers to the date the order was posted. You can enter the same date in both fields; different dates in both fields for a range; or leave the fields blank for all dates.

Date: Shipped: This refers to the order shipping date, which is assigned in Macola ES when the order is shipped. This is used if you are using confirm ship or confirm pick as set up in the Exact Macola ES back office. (This is the 'ord_dt_shipped' field in the oeordhdr_sql table.)

Date: Shipping: This refers to the order shipping date, assigned in Macola ES when the order is shipped. This is used if you are not using confirm ship or confirm pick as set up in the Exact Macola ES back office. (This is the 'shipping_date' field in the oeordhdr_sql table.)

Analysis: Choose the type of analysis you want to view: Matrix or Chart. Your choice changes some of the fields available.

Vertical: Row/Top: Select the value to show in the first column in the report, for example, Account. This value is the start of each row.

Field Value: Select a value to show on the report: counts (by units or by orders) or amounts (sales, costs, or margin).

Horizontal: Column/Top (visible for Matrix Analysis only): Select the value to show in the columns in the report, for example, Item. This value is a heading for each column.

Show Totals (visible for Matrix Analysis only): Select the totals to show on the report: Units: Count | Orders: Count | Amount: Sales | Amount: Costs | Amount: Margin

Chart: Type (visible for Chart Analysis only): Select a chart type to display the data.

Running the Pivot Analysis Report for Orders

  1. Navigate to the main InterConnect page (Menu: InterConnect).
  2. Click Reports.
  3. Under the Macola ES heading, click Orders/Sales Reports.

  4. On the Orders/Sales tab, under the Analysis heading, click Pivot analysis: Orders.
