Registering stock counts per warehouse location
Menu path
Inventory ➔ Warehouse Management ➔ Counts
Introduction
You will see this screen by clicking
in the Loc column of the Counts screen. In this screen, you can register the stock counts for an item in the relevant warehouse location. The screen displays a list of warehouse locations available in the warehouse and the current stock quantity of the corresponding item. Once you register the stock count in the relevant warehouse location, the Difference and New columns in the Counts screen cannot be edited anymore.
Columns
After clicking
, the Counts screen will be displayed.
Location
This displays the location of the warehouse.
Current
This column displays the total stock quantity in the warehouse. This information cannot be edited.
Difference
Type the additional quantity for positive stock counts or the discrepancy quantity (negative quantity) for negative stock counts. Once entered, the New column will be updated accordingly and the check box in the Counted column will be selected.
New
This column displays the new stock quantity in the warehouse. The new stock quantity is the total of the current quantity and the difference quantity in the warehouse.
Note:
- Since the manufacturing module supports the stock quantities up to 8 decimals, the stock count functionality is also synchronized to handle the correction of the small residue item. This is necessary when small quantities of materials are used in the suborders. The synchronization is done by updating the stock to zero in the background when resetting stock to zero via stock count.
- The feature to reset the stock count to zero is available only when SE4000 E Production is included in the license.
Sls. Unit
This displays the sales unit registered in the corresponding item maintenance card. This information cannot be edited.
Counted
This check box will be automatically selected when you type a figure in the Difference column. Once selected, the Process check box will be enabled.
S/B
If this is a serialized or batch item, click
to define the serial/batch number for any additional or discrepancy quantity.
- If you are entering negative stock counts, you need to select the relevant serial/batch number for the missing quantity so that Exact Globe Next will remove the quantity and the serial/batch number after processing.
- If you are entering positive stock counts, you need to create the serial/batch number for the additional quantity so that Exact Globe Next will add the quantity and the serial/batch number after processing.
Note: Since it is not necessary to select any serial or batch number when the New column is set to zero, the S/B column will be disabled accordingly.
