Introduction

You can modify the description of the continents or regions which are used to classify the countries in the system. Additionally, it is also possible to delete any continent or region that you do not want to use.

Menu path

Go to System/Setup/References/Countries: Classifications, select Continents at Criteria and then click Show to view all the continents in the system. Click the continent under the Name column to modify or delete the continent.

To modify or delete a region, go to the same menu path, select Regions at Criteria and then click Show to view all the regions in the system. Click the region under the Name column to modify or delete the selected region.

Roles & rights

To modify or delete continents or regions, function right 93 - Maintain countries is required. Users with the HR role have this function right.

For more details on what you can do with function rights or levels, go to System/Setup/Security/Function rights, select the required module, and then click on the relevant ID. To find out the functions you can perform with a particular role, go to System/Setup/Security/Roles, type in the description, click Refresh, and then click the required link under the Role column.

Click this to save the changes made to the description of the selected continent or region.

Delete

Click this to delete the selected continent or region.

Close

Click this to exit.

Description

Code

This displays the code of the selected continent or region. You cannot modify the continent or region code.

Description

Type a new description for the selected continent or region.
