Revision Date: 09/13/2011
Module:
Version: Progression 7.7 and higher
Description: Unable to load Macreg7.dll
Solution:
On a 32-bit OS, verify that the Macreg7.dll exists in c:\program files\common files\macola shared. On a 64-bit OS, verify that the Macreg7.dll exists in c:\program files (x86)\common files\macola shared. If the file does not exist, it can be copied from another workstation or rerun the Progression client install.
If Macreg7.dll exists in the appropriate folder, verify that c:\program files\common files\macola shared or c:\program files (x86)\common files\macola shared exists in the system path. This can be verified by going to a command prompt, typing “path” (without the quotes) and hitting the Enter key.
If c:\program files\common files\macola shared or c:\program files (x86)\common files\macola shared is at or near the end of the path statement, move it to the beginning of the path statement. This needs to be done by a qualified network\IT person. Make a copy of the path statement before making any changes. The path can be modified in Control Panel, System and Security, System, Advanced System Settings, Advanced, Environment Variables. Highlight "Path" in the System Variables screen and select Edit. Make the change and click on OK. The workstation does not need to be restarted.
