InterConnect for Macola: Quote Creation
In InterConnect, you can create a quote directly in Exact Synergy Enterprise that will be populated in your back office as well.
To create a quote, you must have the following roles assigned:
- Quote Role (defined in HRM Setup) or Corporate Administrator

The following describe the fields on the New: Quotation page:
Division: Select the back office for the quote. The only options available to choose are the divisions set up on the InterConnect divisions page.
Account: Displays the account name of the account for which you are creating the new quote. To select a different account, click the search icon.
Purchase Order: If the customer has a purchase order number, enter it in this field. If this purchase order number exists in the back office, InterConnect displays the message "Warning: Existing PO Number".
Status: The status field indicates the current status of the quote. By default, when a quote is created, the New status is displayed.
Payment Condition: Click the search icon to select a payment condition type.
Location: This field enables you to select a warehouse for the quote.
Salesperson: Enter or search for the salesperson code to associate this salesperson with the quote.
Project: You can associate the new quote with a project in Synergy Enterprise. Click the search icon to locate and select a project.
Customer Code: This field is populated with the customer code that corresponds to the selected account.
Award Probability: Use this to indicate the probability that the quote will be converted to an actual order. Click the arrow to select from a list of predefined options. If it is very likely that the quote will become an order, select a higher "hot" number from 7 to 9. If it is fairly likely the quote will become an order, select a "warm" number from 4 to 6. If it is only remotely likely the quote will become an order, select a "cold" number from 1 to 3. The option you select is indicated on the sales funnel reports.
Contact: Click the search icon to select from a list of contacts that have been defined for the account. Select the contact you want to associate with the new quote.
Est. Close Date: The close date indicates that a quote has been converted to an order. Click the calendar icon to select the date on which you think that the quote will be converted to an order.
Delivery to address: If there is a default delivery address in the back office, InterConnect uses that as the ship to address. If there is not default delivery address in the back office, InterConnect uses the visit address.
Notes: You can enter any additional information in the Notes field.
How to Create a Quote for an Account
- In Synergy Enterprise, navigate to an Account Card.
- On the Account Card, in the Monitor Section, Click the (ES) Orders link. This opens the Sales Quotes/Orders page. This page shows open and historical orders (if any) and quotes (if any) that are related to the customer. You can use the fields at the top to find an existing order or quote. You can also click the various links in the list to drill into details of the orders or quotes.


- Click New to create a new quote for this customer. The New: Quotation page opens.
- Enter information for the quote.
- Click Save to save the basic information for the new quote. The New Line: Quote page opens. Use this page to enter the line item information. (See document 21.852.223. If you entered a feature item, see document 22.888.045.)
