PU 505 | 504 (Globe+) and 424 (Globe): UK MTD return enhanced (United Kingdom legislation)
The VAT return in Exact Globe+ can be submitted directly to HMRC. This will work only if the VAT return submission is reported during a normal period or quarter. However, HMRC often requests companies to report their VAT return during a period which is longer than a year, especially if the companies are submitting their MTD for the first time.
In this product update, we have made some enhancements to cater for such cases so that the submission of the MTD will be successful. When you print the final VAT return, the date range that you defined at Reporting date in the Value added tax screen will be saved as “yyyy-MM-dd|yyyy-MM-dd” whereby the first date will be the “from date” and the second date will be the “to date”. For example, 2024-01-01|2024-03-31.
