Installing Exact Financials 7.2x when your current version is 7.x (UTF-8)

Attention!! 
As of version 7.25 of Exact Financials the database needs to be in UTF-8. See this document on changing the codepage of your database.

Attention!! Exact Financials 7.2x is only supported in combination with Progress Open Edge version 11.5, 11.6 or 11.7 (64 bit). To upgrade Progress you need a new Progress license. This can be obtained by contacting Exact support. (Mind you, it takes about 4 days to get a new Progress licence). After this you need to convert your databases from 10.2B or 11.5 to 11.6 or 11.7.

When your current version of Exact Financials Enterprise is 7.x, and the correct Progress version is installed, the upgrade to 7.2x is quite simple. You only need to replace Exact components.

Updating:

Server installation

- Start ExactFinancialsEnterprise-7.2x.exe on your server and enter the settings like you are updating.

Client setup

Before server installation of 7.2x:

On each computer where the Progress WebClient is installed, the current version of the WebClient application should be uninstalled using the Windows control panel.
You only need to uninstall Exact Financials Enterpise and Exact Financials Enterprise - Excel Add-in version 7.10.x.

Workstation installation of the new webclient 7.2x:

To  install the new WebClient application  you need to open (on the workststion)  the following URL: 'http://<servernaam>/<virtuele directory>/webclient/bootstrap.htm'. This will start the WebClient application setup.

To install the Excel Add-in you need to start the Setup-ExcelAddIn.exe from the DVD on every computer where the Excel Addin will be used.

- Test your imports
- Import new SEPA pain XML file definition (Menu System: XML, Import XML-script and select \\Exact721\CD\database\data\xml\nl (or be)\pain*.*)
