Copying public holidays

Introduction

You can copy the public holidays that you have created in a particular year to another year. This way, you can save time as you do not need to create the same public holidays in other years. You can use this functionality to copy the standard public holidays in your country, such as New Year’s Day, National Day, and Christmas Day.

What version are you using?

The information in this document is applicable to product update 407. If you have versions lower than this, certain features explained here will not be applicable.

How do I copy a public holiday?

1. Go to System ➔ General ➔ Countries ➔ Public holidays, and click Copy.
2. At Year, select the year to which you want to copy the selected public holiday.
3. At Maintain location, select the check box if applicable.
4. Click OK, and a screen will be displayed to notify that the public holiday has been successfully copied.
5. Click Close.

How do I copy multiple public holidays?

1. Go to System ➔ General ➔ Countries ➔ Public holidays.
2. Select the relevant public holidays by pressing the SHIFT key and clicking on the public holidays that you want to copy.
3. Click Copy.
4. At Year, select the year to which you want to copy the selected public holidays.
5. At Maintain location, select the check box if applicable.
6. Click OK, and a screen will be displayed to notify that the public holidays have been successfully copied.
7. Click Close.
