Cleaning up historical price list/price agreement lines

Introduction

It is possible to delete the historical sales and purchase price list/price agreement lines at the same time by defining criteria including the historical date and the value range. Historical price list/price agreement lines refer to price list/price agreement records which have expired. Go to System/Checks/Price management/Historical lines and then click Yes to access the functionality to delete the historical price list/price agreement lines. If you do not want to delete the historical price list/price agreement lines, click No.

Description

After you have clicked Yes, you will see the Historical screen as shown below. Here, you can define the historical date range to delete the price list/price agreement lines within the specified date range.

Valid to

Type or select the end valid date of the price list/price agreement lines to delete the lines up to the defined end valid date.

Note: The date must be at least six months before the current date. For example, if the current date is 22-05-2007, by default, the Valid to field will show 22-11-2006. You can type any date before or equal to 22-11-2006, but cannot type a date after 22-11-2006.

Range

Select the required range option to determine the date range to delete the historical price list/price agreement lines within the defined date range. There are three options available which are Year, Month, and Day.

Value

Type the value based on the Range option you have selected to determine the date range to delete the historical price list/price agreement lines within the defined date.

Based on the example shown on the screen, price list/price agreement lines with the end validity date of one month before (this is defined based on the information entered in Range and Value) or equal to 22-11-2006 will be deleted. Hence, price list/price agreement lines with Active to date of between 22-10-2006 and 22-11-2006 will be deleted.

Buttons

Preview

Click Preview to display the overview of price list/price agreement lines which will be deleted based on the defined historical date range. Click Export to export the price list/price agreement lines that are listed in the overview to Microsoft Excel or Close to exit.

Delete

Click Delete to delete all the price list/price agreement lines within the defined historical date range.

Click Yes to delete all the historical price list and price agreement lines based on the defined date range or No to not delete the historical price list and price agreement lines.

Close

Click Close to exit.
