Year-end procedure manufacturing
Introduction
In a step-by-step manner, this documents describes the important
issues that must
be taken in to account during year-end
closing regarding
E-manufacturing.
Explanation
Production order numbering
When opening a new financial year you might want to adjust
your production order numbers so
they start from the financial year in which the actual
manufacturing took place. The production order number
can be defined via [System / General Settings / Numbers]. This production order number
is divided into two parts. Position 1 to 4 are alphanumerical characters which are user definable, for example
enter the figures of the financial year.
By default
Exact Globe Next assigns the code “PR"
to new production orders,
followed by two digits for the
financial year. In case you use this logic, you have to update the two digits for the new year.
Status production orders
To prevent
production order transactions in the old financial year, you could check if all production
orders that are issued, received or completed in the warehouse are also issued, received
or completed in Exact Globe Next. All these steps will lead to financial entries which have to be entered in the correct financial year.
Adjust cost prices of parts
At the end of the financial year it is common
for companies to
evaluate and if needed adjust
the
cost prices of parts.
To do this there are two options available:
Without the module E-Calculation in your Exact Globe Next license
After you adjusted the cost prices of the parts, the calculated cost
prices in the bill of material (BOM) of the main item will automatically adjust. As soon
as you want
to adjust the cost
price of the main item in item maintenance and make it equal
to the calculated cost price, you must update the
main items via the batch update in
item maintenance.
With the module E-Calculation in your Exact Globe Next license
In case this module
is present in your license,
you can adjust the calculated cost prices of main items and parts
via the cost price
calculation functionality
in
[Manufacturing / To be processed / Calculate / button "Batch updates"]. The advantage in this is that you have more flexibility in the way the cost price is calculated.
