Overview of absence entitlements

Introduction

This document provides you the overview of the absence entitlements. In this screen, you can modify, copy, and delete absence entitlements, as well as maintain the properties of absence types.

What version are you using?

The information in this document is applicable to product update 407 and higher. If you have versions lower than this, certain features explained here will not be applicable.

How do I modify the properties of absence types?

  1. In the overview of absence entitlements screen, select the relevant absence type.
  2. Click Maintain.
  3. In the Absence types screen, make the necessary changes.
  4. Click Save, and then click Close. For more information, see Creating and maintaining absence types

How do I copy the details of an existing absence type to a new absence type?

  1. In the overview of absence entitlements screen, select the relevant absence type.
  2. Click Copy.
  3. In the Copy: Absence entitlements screen at New: Absence types, select the new absence type.
  4. At Entitlement, select the relevant option(s).
  5. A confirmation message will be displayed, click Yes to proceed or click No to cancel.
  6. Click OK.

How do I delete absence types?

  1. In the overview of absence entitlements screen, select the relevant absence type.
  2. Click Delete.
  3. A confirmation message will be displayed, click Yes to proceed or click No to cancel.

How do I adjust the hours for absence entitlements?

  1. In the overview of absence entitlements screen, select the relevant absence type.
  2. Click Open.
  3. In the Corporate tab, define the new hours at Hours.
  4. Click Save, and then click Close.

How do I apply an expiry date for absence entitlements?

  1. In the overview of absence entitlements screen, select the relevant absence type.
  2. Click Open.
  3. In the Corporate tab, select the check box at Apply expiry date. Additional sections will be displayed.
  4. Define the relevant fields under the sections.
  5. Click Save, and then click Close.

How do I assign absence entitlements to employees?

  1. In the overview of absence entitlements screen, select the relevant absence type.
  2. Click Open.
  3. In the Person tab, click the Add icon.
  4. Define the search criteria, and click Search.
  5. Select a person in the overview. You can click Select all to select all the people in the overview.
  6. Click OK.
  7. Define the fields in the overview.
  8. Click Save, and then click Close.
