Defining General Settings

menu path : [financial, maintenance, settings, settings ]

Click on "edit" to edit the settings, after completion you should save your settings by clicking "save".

Explanation of the fields that are relevant for the set up of the Rental Solution and what it is used for:

 

Fields Description
General
Currency Click on to select the currency of your choice to be your default currency. The default currency would be your reporting currency in the consolidation of financial reports. It is advisable to set this right after you have created a new company. You must activate the currency of your choice to be able to select them. To find out how to activate currency, click here.
Country Click on to select the default country. Usually this would be the country where the holding company resides. Before you are able to select the country, the country must be activated. In HRM, go to menu path [Maintenance, References, Active: countries] to activate it. To find out how to activate country, click here.
Year, Period
Year / Period Click on to select the default year and period. The year and period must be created before you can select them. To find out how to create year and period, click here.
General ledger links
Translation difference Click to select the account for Translation differences (this can be a default account). Accounts must be created before you can select them. To find out more on how to create G/L accounts, click here.
Retained earnings Click to select the account for Retained earnings (this can be a default account). Accounts must be created before you can select them. To find out more on how to create G/L accounts, click here.
Euro Calc. diff. Click to select the account for Euro calculation differences (this can be a default account). Accounts must be created before you can select them. To find out more on how to create G/L accounts, click here.
