Sometimes it is not possible to select an outstanding item when you want to pay the creditor. You know that the outstanding item should be available but you can not see it. There are several reasons for that.

Solution

You can take the following steps to see what the reason is:

Check the preferences during 'select payment'. Give the largest range as possible. This includes:

• the due date range (or week range)
• Category (when relevant, check small or capital letters)
• show payments that are paid by an other payment methode
• select blocked payments
• turn off 'only select items that are paid automatically

Check the outstanding item itself in 'creditors outstanding items'. Check if you see the outstanding item when you have your preferences 'include unposted entries' on and when you have this off. When you do not see outstanding item in one of the two overviews, you have to check your financial preferences. There are settings to determine whether you can select your outstanding items before or afther entry.

Check in the overview 'select payments' if the outstanding item is already selected in an other payment run. You cannot select the same outstanding item twice.

Check the outstanding item in 'change outstanding items'. Check if the due date and week are correctly filled. Also, week 53 is on some platforms not recognized as a valid week. Change it in week 52 or week 1 dependend on the situation. Here you can also see and change the methode of payment and if the outstanding item is blocked or not.

Check in maintenance creditors for this creditor of the creditor is blocked and if the setting 'automatic payment' is activated.

Check the currency code of the outstanding item. The journal is linked (jounal links) to different currency codes. When you have an outstanding item in a currency code that is not linked, the item wil not show.

Check the payment condition for this outstanding item. When you have a payment discount of 100%, there is nothing to pay and the outstanding item can not be selected.
