Resetting Ratings

Introduction

This page allows you to reset the current ratings of the active people. The company policy determines the frequency a personnel is rated. The review for the personnel could be done on a monthly, quarterly, half-yearly, or yearly basis. For example, if the ratings take place on a half-yearly basis, the previous rating period would be June 30, 2006 and the current rating period would be December 31, 2006.

For example, if the current period is December 2006, after you reset the ratings of the personnels, the value of the current rating will be set to none. That rating before the reset would then be transferred to the previous rating period, which is June 2006. Resetting a rating allows the manager to clear the current rating for December 2006. The manager can then go to Rating: Current under the Organization section at HRM/Report/People to update the personal card with the new performance rating for June 2007. Roles & rights

To reset the current ratings of personnels, function right 88 – Maintain HRM settings is required. Users with the HR role have this function right.

For more details on what you can do with function rights or levels, go to System/Setup/Security/Function rights, select the required module, and then click on the relevant ID. To find out the functions you can perform with a particular role, go to System/Setup/Security/Roles, type in the description, click Refresh, and then click the required link under the Role column.

Click this to reset the current ratings. After the ratings are reset completely, a message “Ratings updated successfully” is displayed. Click Close to exit.
