Product Updates 421, 420, and 419: Support for customized style sheets in E-Invoice (Italian legislation)

Electronic invoices in Exact Globe Next (EGN) can now use XSL style sheets that comply to the Italian legislation. Style sheets allow for standardised formatting of XML files. In this case, default and user-defined style sheets can be applied onto EGN electronic invoices.

This enhancement has introduced the following changes:

  • The Documents settings screen allows the specifying of Italian-related style sheets.
  • Ability to link Italian-related customized style sheet from the accounts receivable maintenance screen.

The E-Invoice field under the Logistics section of the Documents settings screen will now include style sheets that are created in compliance with the Italian legislation.

Users are also able to define and upload their own style sheets that comply to the Italian legislation. At this field, either default or customized style sheets can then be linked, either individually or by batch, to selected debtors.

The new field in the Documents settings screen is shown as follows:

If unspecified, the default style sheet to use that complies to the Italian legislation is the existing "ITFattura" (with the ComposeDiscount functionality set to "ON"). ComposeDiscount is a new element in the XML file to indicate that extra discount, if any, is calculated on a separate line.

A customised style sheet can be linked from the Documents settings screen. An example of this is shown as follows:

When an Italian debtor is selected, only style sheets for Italy are shown. Once linked from this screen, it will be reflected in the individual accounts receivable screen.

Alternatively, customised style sheets can also be linked from the accounts receivable maintenance screen. This is shown as follows:

Further to this, the Attachment icon at the eInvoice field in this screen is also enabled regardless of any Send method used.

Changes in processing of sales invoices

The processing of sales invoices had also been updated. These include:

  • The attachment for sales invoices will consist of the invoice slip and E-Invoice XML file.
  • The ability to generate the E-Invoice XML file will be based on either custom or standard stylesheet.
