Creating and maintaining reference number

To create a reference number for a person, you must first create the resource entry at HR/Human resources/Maintain. Once you have created the person, select it and then click Open. Next, click the Reference number tab and then click the New icon. You will see this screen.

Note: To maintain the reference number entry, select the entry you want to modify and then click the Edit icon. You can also create or maintain reference numbers at Payroll/Human resources/Maintain.

Type

Select the reference number type. 

Note: The available options differ according to the country legislation.

Description

Type a description for the reference number.

Reference number

Type a reference number for the selected person. It is mandatory.

Start date

Type or select the data where the validity of the reference number begins. The date displayed here is the date the person starts his/her employment. For more information, see Start date under the Contract section in Creating and maintaining entries for people.

End date

Type or select the date where the validity of the reference number ends.

Attachment

You can store documents or files pertaining to the reference type.

Button

Save

Click this to save the new reference number to accept the changes.

New

Click this to create another new reference number.

Close

Click this to exit. If you have not saved the entry, you will see a message prompting you to save the entry. Click Yes to save the entry. If you do not wish to save, click No to exit without saving or Cancel to cancel the entry.
