Overview of territories

Note: This menu path is available only if you have selected the Use sales commission check box under the Sales commissions section of Order settings or Invoice settings. For more information, see Order settings or Invoice settings.

Introduction

In this screen, you can obtain an overview of territories. Besides that, you can also delete a territory from this overview. You have the option to use the territory management function to support the reporting aspect of the sales commission management function.

What version are you using?

The information in this document is applicable to product update 407 and higher. If you have versions lower than this, certain features explained here will not be applicable.

How do I create territories?

1. In the main screen, click New. The Territory code screen will be displayed.
2. Define the relevant fields.
3. Click Save. The created territory code and description will be automatically displayed in the Territory code and Description columns respectively, in the main screen.
4. Click Close to return to previous screen.

Keep in mind: All fields with the “!” icon are mandatory.

How do I edit existing territories?

1. In the main screen, select the required territory.
2. Click Open. The Territory code screen will be displayed.
3. Make the required changes at the relevant fields.
4. Click Save.
5. Click Close to exit.

How do I delete territories?

1. In the main screen, select the required territory code.
2. Click Delete.
3. The message “Depending on the size of your company, this function may take a long time because all files will be checked. Delete?” will be displayed.
4. Click Yes to confirm deletion or No to cancel deletion.
