Copying production and disassembly orders

The Production order: Orders screen will be displayed when Copy is clicked at Manufacturing ➔ Entries ➔ Production orders and Manufacturing ➔ To be processed ➔ Complete. For more information, see Overview of production and disassembly orders and Overview of production and disassembly orders to be completed. With the copy functionality, you can copy the information of the selected or original order to a new order.

Fields

Process section

Change: Person

Type or select an active person for the new production order. By default, this field is blank.

Progress section

Results

This option is automatically selected if there is no error during the copy process. This option cannot be edited.

Errors

This option is automatically selected if there is an error during the copy process. The error is displayed in the Result column. This option cannot be edited.

The information in the following columns cannot be edited.

Production order

This column displays the number of the original order.

Person

This column displays the resource linked to the original order.

Description

This column displays the description of the original order.

Production order

This column displays the number of the newly created order.

Note: The information will be displayed only after the copy process is completed.

Result

This column displays the result of the copy process.

Note: The information will be displayed only after the copy process is completed.

Buttons

Generate

Click this to start generating an order based on the information from the original order. Once completed, the Production order and Result columns will be updated accordingly.

Note: If the start date of the original order is earlier than the current date, the date of the new order will be set, by default, to the current date while the end date will be recalculated based on the date of the Bill Of Materials (BOM) recorded in the original order.
