The search feature in Exact Synergy Enterprise allows the searching for feeds and comments via the Feeds entity available on the drop-down menu.
This document describes the settings that need to be defined to enable the search and other useful information related to this feature. This document contains the following sections:
To enable the searching for feeds, a search provider has to be defined at Modules ? System ? Setup ? Social Collaboration ? Settings. With the Administrator role, you can access this page to select a search provider.

If this option is selected, there will be no results displayed for the search.
Elastic Search
If this option is selected, you will be able to search for the following properties:
If this option is selected, an additional field called URL will be displayed. Type the URL for the elastic search in this field.

SQL Full-Text Search
If this option is selected, you will be able to search only the texts in feeds or comments.

The Feeds entity is displayed by default on the drop-down menu next to the search feature. However, you can opt to remove this entity from the drop-down menu at Preferences, in the My work, create & search section under the Menu tab.
To remove the Feeds entity from the drop-down menu of the search feature, move Feeds to the left column.
The number of feeds that match the text defined will be indicated at the top of the page. The feeds that are displayed include posts and comments that are hidden, shared to you in public groups (of which you are or are not a member), and shared to you in private groups (of which you are or are not a member).
The text that you have searched for will be displayed in bold if it is part of the feed or comment. This does not apply to hyperlinks in the feeds or feeds that serve as notifications.
