Modules ? System ? Setup ? Session Management ? Settings

Introduction

Note: The Federated Identity feature is only available for the controlled release participants.

This page allows the administrator to configure the session timeout. The session timeout will occur based on the following scenarios:

  • when the session timeout has been enabled, and
  • when the user attempts to perform an action (for example, click a button or navigate to another section in the application), and
  • when the user session has expired.

When the session timeout has expired, Exact Synergy Enterprise will prompt for a new user session once you perform an action. However, the new user session will be prompted depending on the type of authentication used, such as the following:

  • If the form authentication is used, you will be redirected to the Exact Synergy Enterprise login page.
  • If the federated identity authentication is used, you will be redirected to the login page of the identity provider used.
  • If the Windows or basic authentication is used, the new session will be acquired automatically.

Roles and rights

You can edit the session timeout settings only if you have the Administrator role.

Note:

  • For more details on function rights, go to Modules ? System ? Setup ? Security ? Function rights.
  • For more details on roles, go to Modules ? System ? Setup ? Security ? Roles.
