Searching for service configurations in Service management

Introduction

Service configurations represent the individual and unique objects that can be serviced. These objects can be individual products or combinations of products that can be serviced. This page allows you to search for service configurations that have been created.

Roles and rights

To search and view service configurations, function right 850 – View service configurations is required. Users with the Service desk, Service engineer, Service planner, or Service manager role have this function right.

Notes:

  • For more details on function rights, go to System à Setup à Security à Function rights.
  • For more details on roles, go to System à Setup à Security à Roles.

The information in this document is based on product update 250.

How do I search for service configurations?

  1. On the Service: Search – Configurations page, define the fields.
  2. Click Show.

How do I view service configurations?

  1. On the Service: Search – Configurations page, define the fields.
  2. Click Show.
  3. Select the required service configuration that you want to view under the Configuration column. For more information, see Viewing service configurations for Service management.

How do I create service configurations?

  1. On the Service: Search – Configurations page, define the Division under the Criteria section.
  2. Click Show.
  3. Click New.
  4. Define the fields.
  5. Click Save. For more information, see Creating and maintaining service configurations for Service management.

Keep in mind: All fields with the “!” icon are mandatory.

How do I view the total number of service configurations?

  1. On the Service: Search – Configurations page, define the fields.
  2. Click Count. The total number of service configurations will be displayed based on the search criteria.
  3. Click Result to view the list of service configurations based on the search criteria or Search to return to the Service: Search – Configurations page.

How do I clear the customized fields?

  1. On the Service: Search – Configurations page, click Default.

Tips and tricks

You can customize the fields and columns that you want to be displayed on the page by clicking Customize.
