Overview of credit invoices for Professional services automation

Introduction

This page displays an overview of invoiced amount, credit invoices, and correction invoices. It is possible that rates are adjusted after your invoices have been processed. When an amount invoiced and the calculated amount based on the latest rate is different, a credit invoice can be created from this page. Based on the defined criteria, you can see an overview of the invoiced amount and the differences compared to the adjusted rates.

Roles and rights

To view and create credit invoices, function right 891 – Hour & expense invoicing is required. By default, users with the Project administration role have this function right. The Project administration role can only be assigned to users who have the YA1403 – Project manager license role.

What version are you using?

The information in this document is applicable to product update 251 and higher. If you have versions lower than this, certain features explained here will not be applicable.

How do I view invoiced amount, credit invoices, and correction invoices?

  1. On the Credit invoices page, define the criteria in the Criteria section.
  2. Click Show.

How do I generate credit and correction invoices?

  1. On the Credit invoices page, define the criteria in the Criteria section.
  2. Click Show.
  3. Select the relevant check box(es) for the respective invoice line(s) to generate credit and correction invoices.
  4. Click Credit selected invoices.

Keep in mind:

  • The check boxes are displayed only if there are differences in the amount invoiced and calculated amount.
  • Once you have clicked Credit selected invoices, a correction invoice will be created to cancel out the amount invoiced and a credit invoice will be created to invoice the latest amount.
  • Credit invoices created can be invoiced by creating Invoice proposal requests. For more information, see Overview of billable, invoice term, intercompany, and credit invoice requests.

How do I manually create a Credit invoice request?

  1. On the Credit invoices page, click New credit invoice.
  2. On the Credit Invoices – New request page, define the relevant fields
  3. Click Submit.
