Technical manuals - Application Request Routing

Conventions

The following conventions will be used:

• <iis> server on which Internet Information Server is running
• <pasoe> server on which the Progress Application Server for OpenEdge (PASOE) is running
• <port> port on which PASOE is listening

Configuration

1. on <iis> install Application Request Routing (current version 2.5)
2. on <iis> start IIS Manager and select the server node
   
   
3. start Application Request Routing Cache
   
   
4. select 'Server Proxy Settings...' and Enable Proxy
   
   
5. go to the web site node and start URL Rewrite
   
   
6. select 'Add Rule(s)...'
   
   
7. select 'Reverse Proxy'
   
   
8. Enter <pasoe>:<port> as 'Inbound Rule':
   
   
9. test https://<iis>/web
