How-to: Installing SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)

Introduction

SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) is a server-based report generating software system from Microsoft. SSRS is part of Microsoft SQL Server, and can be used by the Reporting Services Integration functionality in Exact Synergy Enterprise. SSRS is also used by the dashboards in Exact Globe Next with extended functionality.

From SQL Server 2017 onwards, SSRS must be installed via a separate installer. The following describes the SSRS installation.

For more information on the supported version of the SQL server and the corresponding product update of Exact Globe Next and Exact Synergy Enterprise, see Hardware and software requirements for Exact Globe Next and Hardware and software requirements for Exact Synergy Enterprise.

Note: Before installing SSRS, it is advisable to check whether SSRS is already installed in your system.
