PU 424 (Globe) and 502|501 (Globe+): Japanese Qualified Invoice System introduced (Japanese legislation)

The new Japanese Qualified Invoice System will take effect from October 2023 onwards. This system is similar to the VAT system implemented in other countries. To comply to this requirement, the following changes were made to Globe+:

Changes Description
Changes on Taxes screen in sales invoice

When the Taxes button is pressed in the sales order and purchase order screens, tax amounts are now grouped by the different tax rates instead of a single total tax amount.

Added new VAT (low rate), Rate 2 and Rate 3 fields in Collective invoices report screen

These new fields can be used to retrieve transactions of up to 3 different VAT rates to be included in the report.

Changes in the Collective invoices report

The report output for collective invoice now includes more information including:

  1. company details,
  2. debtor VAT number,
  3. transaction date(s),
  4. total tax amounts for the invoice,
  5. total tax amounts for the report,
  6. an indicator for each transaction that uses low VAT rate, and
  7. a section at the end of the report indicating the total invoice amount before VAT, the total VAT and total invoice amount after VAT.

An example of this is represented as follows:

Changes on the tax amount in Taxes screen for sales order and purchase order The tax amounts are calculated accurately according to the specific VAT rounding method (rounded up, rounded down or standard).
