Displaying Transactions of G/L Card

Introduction

Introduction

You can view the transactions of all G/L cards in your company.

Menu path

Go to Financial/Reports/G/L Accounts/Cards. Click the hyperlink at the G/L column to display the required card.

Roles & rights

To display the transaction of G/L cards, function right 135 – View ledger on screen is required. Users with the General Manager and Controller roles have this function right.

For more details on what you can do with function rights or levels, go to System/Setup/Security/Function rights, select the required module, and then click on the relevant ID. To find out the functions you can perform with a particular role, go to System/Setup/Security/Roles, type in the description, click Refresh, and then click the required link under the Role column.

Button

Refresh

Click this to update the results according to the defined criteria.

Summary

Click this to display the information in only the debit and credit columns in the results section.

Note: Once you have clicked this button, the name of the button will change to Details.

Details

Click this to display the information in all the columns in the results section.

Close

Click this to exit.

Description

 

Criteria section

Divisions

Select a division or group to view the transactions of the G/L card. Then, click the icon to select the corresponding information for the different divisions/groups. For more information, see Creating and Modifying Divisions and Creating and Modifying Groups.

Item

Select the information you want to display. You can choose from Item or Assortment. If Assortment is selected, click the icon to select the required assortment. For more information, see Creating and Modifying Assortments.

Item

Select an item or range of items to display the transactions of the G/L card. This is only available if Item is selected at Item. For more information, see Creating and Modifying Items.

Assortment: Properties

Select the information you want to display. For more information, see Creating and Modifying Assortment Properties.

Cost center

Select a group to display the transactions of the G/L card.

When Division is selected at Division, there will be an extra value called Cost center in this Cost center list box. If you select Cost center, the Cost center range and Cost unit range will be displayed. For more information, see Creating and Modifying Cost Center Groups.

Cost center

Select a cost center or a range of cost centers to display the transactions of the G/L card. This is only available if Cost center is selected at Cost center. For more information, see Creating and Modifying Cost Centers.

Cost unit

Select a cost unit or range of cost units to display the transactions of the G/L card. This is available only if a division is selected at Division. For more information, see Creating and Modifying Cost Units.

G/L

Click the icon to select a G/L account. The transactions of the G/L card will be displayed for this account.

Date: From/To

Type or select a date or range of dates. The transactions displayed in the G/L card will be based on these dates.

Range

Select Date or Reporting date to display the transactions of the G/L card.

Cur.

Select a currency to display the transactions of the G/L card. For more information, see Modifying Currency.

Factor

Select the available currency factor for the system to display the transactions of the G/L card based on the factor selected. You can choose from 1, 100, 1000, or 1,000,000.

Type

Select Standard or Fiscal to determine the type of transaction that you want to display. Leave this option blank if you wish to display both transaction types.

Group by

Select a grouping method to group the results. Select None if you do not want to group the results by any particular grouping.

Note: You can choose up to two grouping methods using the two list boxes.

Customize

Click at the title bar to customize the fields or sections. You can add or remove existing criteria based on your preferences by selecting or clearing the relevant check boxes. Click Save to save the settings, Reset to clear the selections, or Close to exit without saving.
