Product Updates 410, 409 and 408: INTRASTAT return in XML for year 2015 (Belgian legislation)

Previously, you were able to generate Intrastat returns in ITX, SDV and IDEP file formats. For more information, see Batch 350: New Intrastat return format for Belgium.

In line with the latest regulation in Belgium, the XML file format has been integrated to Exact Globe Next to support electronic submission of Intrastat return, effective January 2015. The usage of this feature is described in the following sections.

Generating Intrastat return using the XML file format

The XML button has been added to the Intrastat overview screen, accessible via Invoice ? Statistics ? Intrastat and Finance ? VAT / Statistics ? Intrastat. When you click the XML button, you are required to fill in necessary information for generating your declarations in the next screen, as shown in the following:

The INTRASTAT data screen enables you to generate compressed and extensive transaction records for both the Arrival and Dispatch forms for trial print and the final return submission.

The generated file will be stored in the location predefined at Directory. Also, after the final print, the file will be listed under the Miscellaneous type of document, accessible via CRM ? Entries ? Documents. Note that the forms generated in the XML format may be split into multiple files to facilitate data transportation over the network. In such cases, the file-naming for these files ends with an underscore followed by a sequential number.

Submitting Intrastat return via Internet

It is mandatory to send your declarations via OneGate application at http://www.nbb.be/DOC/DQ/onegate/en/login_en.html. Once you have logged in, proceed to browse for the directory which the XML file(s) are located. The files will be validated by OneGate.
