In this page you can configure the Quantity 1, Quantity 1 (Realized), Quantity 2, and Quantity 2 (Realized) request type fields. These Quantity fields can be used together with the corresponding Item and Amount fields to determine the item price and total amount as planned and actual quantities and amounts. The Quantity fields can also be used without the Item and Amount fields for the purpose of recording a quantity without any relationship to an item or price.
The following summarizes each Quantity field and the relationship with Item and Amount fields.

For more information on the relevant fields, usage, and calculation, see Customizing Request Type Fields - Item 1 & Item 2, Customizing Request Type Fields - Amount & Amount (Realized), and Customizing Request Type Fields - Amount (Pricelist) & Amount (Realized - Pricelist).
Note: The default settings in the Visible and Edit sections of the Quantity fields definition have been formulated differently between the planned and realized Quantity fields to optimize the usage, especially in relation to the default settings of the corresponding Item and Amount fields. Take note and try to understand the differences and the impact on the request type and related fields before you make any customization.
The following describes only the settings specific for the Quantity fields. For more information on the menu path, roles and rights, buttons, and other settings available in most request fields, see Customizing Request Type Fields (Main Document).
Type a number of up to two decimal places from 0.00 to 9,999,999.99 to set the default number entered in the Quantity field in a newly-created request. Leave this blank if you do not want to set a default quantity. A user can change the default quantity unless you have disabled the editing of this field for a relevant status of the request in the Edit section.
