Displaying Financial Years

Introduction

At this screen, you can display the list of financial years. The financial years are displayed by columns and sorted by year.

Roles & rights

To display financial years, function right 195 - Maintain years/periods is required. Users with the Controller role have this function right.

For more details on what you can do with function rights or levels, go to System/Setup/Security/Function rights, select the required module, and then click on the relevant ID. To find out the functions you can perform with a particular role, go to System/Setup/Security/Roles, type in the description, click Refresh, and then click the required link under the Role column

Show

Click this to display the results according to the defined criteria.

Note: Once you have clicked this button, the name of the button will change to Refresh.

Refresh

Click this to update the results according to the defined criteria.

New

Click this to create a new financial year. For more information, see Creating Financial Years.

Close

Click this to exit.

Description

Criteria section

Division

Type or select a division to display the financial years. This field is mandatory. For more information, see Creating and Modifying Divisions.

Results section

Five columns are displayed:

Year – This displays the created years for the division. Click this to modify the year. For more information, see Modifying Financial Years.
Period – This displays the created periods for the year for the division.
Start date – This displays the start date for the year.
End date – This displays the end date for the year.
Period mapping – This displays the period mapping link. Click this to map the periods. This column is available only if you have the module license YA1040 – Financial consolidation and option 470. For more information, see Mapping Periods.
