Configuring an XML Topic

Introduction

You can configure an XML topic in this page. To open the XML - Topic definition page, click the XML topic under the Topic column of the Download section in the System: XML - Topics overview page. For more information on the overview page, see Overview of XML Topic Definitions.

Menu path

Go to System/Setup/XML/Topics and click Show. Then, click one of the topics in the Topic column of the Download section.

Roles & rights

All users can open this page. To edit the settings, function right 451 - Maintain XML topics definitions is required. Users with the XML Administrator role has this function right.

For more details on what you can do with function rights or levels, go to System/Setup/Security/Function rights, select the required module, and then click on the relevant ID. To find out the functions you can perform with a particular role, go to System/Setup/Security/Roles, type in the description, click Refresh, and then click the required link under the Role column.

Topic

This displays the XML topic being configured.

Scenario

Select the scenario option for replication of XML topic between Exact Synergy Enterprise and your back office system. There are four options available:

Disabled – Replication of the XML topic is disabled.
Both – Replication of the XML topic is allowed for both ways, which means you can replicate the XML topic from Exact Synergy Enterprise to the back office and from the back office to Exact Synergy Enterprise.
From Synergy – Replication of the XML topic is allowed from Exact Synergy Enterprise to the back office only.
To Synergy – Replication of the XML topic is allowed from the back office to Exact Synergy Enterprise only.

Page size

Type the number of records to be contained on each page during downloading. For example, if you type “100”, the data will be exported in pages with each page containing 100 records.
