Introduction
At this page, you can view all linked general ledger accounts that were defined at Mapping General Ledger Accounts as at the year and period selected.
Menu path
Go to Financial/Reports/G/L Accounts/Chart of G/L’s or Financial/Setup/Master data/G/L Accounts. Select Division at Report under the Criteria section. Click Mapping, and then click Historical mappings.
Roles & rights
To view historical mapping, function right 12 – Maintain division G/L is required. Users with the General manager and Controller roles have this function right.
For more details on what you can do with function rights or levels, go to System/Setup/Security/Function rights, select the required module, and then click on the relevant ID. To find out the functions you can perform with a particular role, go to System/Setup/Security/Roles, type in the description, click Refresh, and then click the required link under the Role column.
Button
Show
Click this to display the results according to the defined criteria.
Note: Once you have clicked this button, the name of the button will change to Refresh.
Refresh
Click this to update the results according to the defined criteria.
Reset
Click this to clear all defined criteria so that you can start a new search.
Close
Click this to exit.
Description
Criteria section
Division
Type or select a division to display linked G/L accounts. For more information, see Creating Division.
Type / Subtype
Select B/S or P&L to determine the type of general ledger account you want to display. If you leave this blank, both types of linked G/L accounts will be displayed.
At Subtype, select one of the following subtypes to display the linked G/L accounts:
· Asset account
· Bank account
· Cash
· Creditor account
· Debtor account
· Expense account
· Neutral account
· Revenue account
· Stock account
· VAT account
If you leave this blank, linked G/L accounts for all subtypes will be displayed.
G/L Account
Type a general ledger number of the linked account you want to display. If you leave this blank, all linked G/L accounts will be displayed.
Debit/Credit / Blocked
At Debit/Credit, select Debit or Credit to indicate the type of general ledger account balance. If you leave this blank, linked G/L accounts for both types of account balances will be displayed.
At Blocked, select Yes to display blocked G/L accounts or No to display unblocked G/L accounts. If you leave this blank, linked G/L accounts that are blocked and unblocked will be displayed.
Reporting entity
Type or select a reporting entity for the selected division to display the linked G/L accounts. If the reporting entity code is the same as the division code, there will not be any mapping performed, and therefore you will not be able to view the linked G/L accounts. For more information, see Creating Division.
Year/Period
At Year, select the year that you want to display the linked G/L accounts.
At Period, type the period that you want to display the linked G/L accounts.
Results section
In this section, information such as the linked G/L accounts, the year, period, date created, and others will be displayed. For example, if you have linked the asset account of the division to the share capital account of the reporting entity and then realized the mistake and re-linked the asset account of the division to the asset account of the reporting entity, this will be reflected in the Results section. Click the hyperlink under the Reporting entity column to go to the reporting entity card. Click the hyperlink under the G/L and G/L (Reporting entity) columns to go to the G/L account card.
