Customizing request type fields – Stage

You can configure the Stage field for a request type on this page. Prior to the configuration, you will need to add the Stage field to the request type of the intended request. For more information on how to add fields to, or remove fields from a request type, see Creating and modifying request types - Fields tab.

Similar to the Follow-up date field, you can make use of the Stage field as a reference or a source to manage any business opportunities found in the requests of this type. In a request, you need to select the request of the type which you have configured to display the predefined options for the Stage field, such as Prospecting, Qualification, Needs Analysis, Value Proposition, Id. Decision Makers, Perception Analysis, Proposal, or Negotiation to define the progress of the request. Roles and rights

To create and modify request types, function right 5 – Create request types, and edit request types without responsible or function right 232 – Edit all request types is required. By default, users with the General manager and HR roles have the first function right while the latter is reserved for users with the Administrator role.

How do I configure the Stage field in a request type?

  1. On the Workflow: Request types page, click the required request under the All request types section.
  2. On the Workflow: Request type page, click the Fields tab.
  3. Click Stage in the Name column under the Fields section.
  4. On the Request: Field page, define the fields.
  5. Click Save, and then Close to exit.

Keep in mind: All fields with the “!” icon are mandatory.
