Intercompany Logistics (ICL): ICL Central settings

Pick-IT

Introduction

Intercompany Logistics (ICL) offers the possibility to automate logistic processes between Exact Globe Next databases, where one or more companies act as sales company (basically not keeping stock) and one or more companies act as central 'stock' company. A company can also be both 'sales' and 'central' company. In addition, a company can also buy stock directly, using ICL Purchase.

These settings apply to the company acting as the ICL central company, available as per product update 409.

Description

Settings for the ICL central company can be maintained in menu [System, General, Settings, ICL central].

Central database
This setting determines whether this company acts as ICL 'central' company. Only when this setting is enabled, and after reopening the database, the specific menus and functions will be visible.

Printer
This is printer that default would be used when printing the reports that are shown as preview with the manual steps in the ICL Control Center.

Moment of sending changes to the sales database
This setting determines whether changes in the sales orders in the central company are send back automatically, to the sales or purchase company.

Following choices are available:

  • When authorizing: changes are exported by the ICL export service or manually, after the sales order has been authorized. When Exact Globe Next authorization of sales orders is not enabled, then changes can be exported immediately after changing the order.
  • When confirming: changes are exported by the ICL export service or manually, after the sales order has been confirmed (printing 'final'). When the order setting 'Sales order confirmation' is disabled, then changes can be exported immediately after changing the order.
  • Using Control Center: changes are never exported automatically by the ICL Export service but only manually in menu [Order, To be processed/CW central admin/Export changes. Sales order with changes are then visible without the need to authorize or confirm the sales orders (even if the sales order itself would require this for further processing).

Moment of sending delivery notes to the sales database
This setting determines whether fulfillments are automatically exported by the ICL Export service, or manually using the ICL Control Center.

Following choices are available:

  • Automatically after processing: export of 'delivery notes' is done automatically after a fulfillment has been processed in the central company. This applies only if the ICL Export service is active.
  • Using Control Center: the export of 'delivery notes' is done manually in the Control Center in menu [Order, To be processed, ICL central database, Export delivery notes]
