Introduction

The new value-added tax (VAT) rule for European Union (EU) countries has impacted on the VAT maintenance in the Portuguese legislation whereby the traders need an option to define the EU sales list for triangular trades. An EU sales list is a return document to prove that the sales product involved is exported to another EU member state.

In order to comply with the new regulation, the Triangulation option is added to EU sales list in the EU tab of VAT code maintenance screen at System/General/Countries/Tax codes in the Portuguese legislation. The change is shown in the following screen:
