PU 424|423|422|421 (Globe) and 501|500|422|421 (Globe+): Streamlined function rights for Cash flow

When you manage collections or payments, you require certain menu and function rights to carry out your tasks. In this product update, we have improved the existing function rights for the Cash flow module. With this enhancement, you now have a clear definition of the required function rights to manage collections and payments correctly.

The improved function rights are as follows:

• To restrict cash flow access to cash-in transactions
• To restrict cash flow access to cash-out transactions

Specific function right assigned for cash-in and cash-out transactions

Previously, when you had the function right To restrict cash flow access to cash-in transactions, you could process, reverse, or recreate collection orders through these menu paths:

• Cash flow > Payments > Process
• Cash flow > Payments > Payment in transit
• Cash flow > payments > Created bank files

Additionally, through the Cash flow > Payments > Payment in transit and Cash flow > payments > Created bank files menu paths, you were also able to reverse payments and recreate payment files. This was not the ideal situation.

Now, the function right To restrict cash flow access to cash-in transactions allows you to process, reverse, or recreate collection orders only (applicable only to debtors or customers).

The function right To restrict cash flow access to cash-out transactions lets you process, reverse payments, and recreate payment files (applicable only to creditors or suppliers).
