PU 424 | 423 | 422 (Globe) and PU 501 | 500 (Globe+): Audit file now displays the correct invoice amount (Polish legislation)

In Globe, you can generate deferred revenue through Invoice > To be processed > Deferred revenue. This revenue type refers to the payment that you receive for goods and services that have yet to be delivered. With deferred revenue, you get a more accurate view of incoming revenue for your company.

For the Polish legislation, and prior to this product update, when you generated the audit file through Finance > VAT / Statistics > Audit file (after generating deferred revenue), the VAT amount reported for the invoice doubled. This caused an error in the reported amount.

After running your latest product updater, the correct invoice amount is shown in the audit file. This amount is no longer affected by the deferred revenue entries generated.

Query to generate the audit file uses the end date

Now, when you generate the audit file, the query uses the end date defined for the JPK_VAT register. The example below shows the end date under the Data selection section in the VAT register screen (accessible through Finance > VAT / Statistics > VAT register).

Example

To further explain, take for example that you previously had a deferred sales invoice revenue with the total amount of EUR 1000 for two months: December 2021 (EUR 500) and January 2022 (EUR 500).

This would mean that you have created the deferred revenue entries between years 2021 and 2022. When you generated the VAT register for year 2021 (01-01-2021 to 31-12-2021), the generated records for JPK_VAT were correct.

However, when you generated the audit file, the invoice amount doubled. The SQL query only used the start date (01-01-2021) and the additional deferred entries from year 2022 were also selected.

As of this product update, the end date (31-12-2021) is used and the additional deferred revenue entries from year 2022 are not retrieved. This results in the correct invoice amount shown in the audit file.
