Product Updates 407 and 406: Changes to SEPA Direct Debit (SDD) format for COR1 mandate type for Germany

The SEPA Direct Debit (SDD) PAIN formats have been supported since product update 400 for Germany. Currently, the PAIN format supported is PAIN.008.002.02, which is used for all the SDD mandate types, such as CORE, B2B, and COR1. The format that supports the SDD mandate with the CORE1 type is PAIN.008.003.02. Thus, the system has to validate and generate the correct format depending on the SDD mandate type.

In this product update, when the SDD files are generated, the records will be grouped based on the SDD mandate type whereby each type contains a separate SDD XML file. This will be based on the file name, for example, SDDCOR1001.xml, SDDCore001.xml, and other filenames.

If the SDD mandate type for the processed term is COR1, the header of the SDD XML file will display the following PAIN format. There will be no changes for the other XML tags in the file.

The CORE and B2B mandate types will still use the PAIN.008.002.02 format.

Note: This functionality is applicable for all the SEPA Direct Debit cash instruments with the country code “DE”.
